Chicken Pineapple

Ingredients:
  • 1/2k chicken, cut up
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsps cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 can (237g) pineapple chunks
  • 2 stalks green onion, cut into 2" pieces
  • 2 tsps cornstarch,dissolved in 1Tbsp water
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • cooking oil
  • salt to taste

Procedure:
  1. Season chicken with soy sauce and pepper. Sprinkle with cornstarch. Fry until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Saute garlic, onion, ginger, carrot and bell pepper.
  3. Add water, salt and sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add chicken, pineapple chunks with syrup and dissolved cornstarch. Cook until thick. Add green onions.

Crunchy Fried Chicken

I just came up with this recipe when i was in highschool. I was at home and craving for some fastfood chicken. =D

Ingredients:
  • ½k chicken, cut into desired sizes, washed and dry
  • 1 large egg or 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 chili powder (optional)

Procedure:
  1. In a bowl mix flour, salt, black pepper and chili powder.
  2. In another bowl beat eggs with a pinch of salt.
  3. Coat each chicken pieces with flour mixture.
  4. Dip one by one in egg then slightly strain the excess egg.
  5. Coat again each pieces with the flour mixture.
  6. Let it stand for 2 minutes. Preheat cooking oil.
  7. Deep fry.

Chicken Tinola

This is one of my favorite chicken recipes.


Ingredients:
  • 1k chicken, washed, dried and cut into desired sizes
  • 1 green papaya / 4 potatoes, cut into cubes
  • chilli leaves / malunggay
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp ginger, cut into strips
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 2 ½ tbsp fish sauce (patis)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Procedure:
  1. Saute garlic, onion and ginger in oil.
  2. Add chicken and saute until golden brown. Add 1 tbsp fish sauce, stir and let it simmer for 1minute.
  3. Add water and the rest of fish sauce then bring to boil.
  4. Add papaya/potatoes and chili/malunggay leaves.
  5. Cook until vegetables are cooked.
