Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 ¾ cups sugar
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup alkalized cocoa powder
- 3 cups flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 ¾ cups warm water
- 2 tsp instant coffee
- Flour for dusting
- Cocoa powder for garnish
- Whipped Cream
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease baking pan and dust with flour. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Add in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Pour in warm water and coffee.
- Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
- Remove from pan. Let cool on wire rack.
- Serve with whipped cream dusted with cocoa powder.
